We are excited to announce that Oslo Press can be found in two publications that are currently in newsstands. You can spot us in the Spring 2009 issue of The Bride & Bloom, where our Butterfly invitation set is featured in the Fresh Style section on page 30. (By the way, the cake which is also featured on the page is making me fall in love with yellow.)

You will also find us in the Spring/Summer 2009 publications of Brides Local. We’re included in the Style Review under the feature titled “Style Inspiration: Shopping trip”. Our Willow invitation can be spotted amongst other items with crisp, simple lines and natural elements. (Just right up my alley!)

A big thank you to both magazines! We really appreciate the consideration and opportunity.

Yes, Thanksgiving day has come and gone, but we still need to be thoughtful and appreciative each and every day. Around here we can not thank everyone enough for all the support we have received since starting our business. The feedback as well as blog and other media coverage has been great. I’m not really sure what our expectations were when we first started out – but surely they have been exceeded. So thank you to everyone that has been involved in some way – from relatives and friends with advice, to bloggers and magazine editors that liked what they saw, and especially to the clients we have met along the way.
With that said, I would like to mention that we were featured over at Oh So Beautiful Paper a while back. I had not yet stumbled across this blog until I was informed about the feature; but it is full of papery goodness and other neat finds and totally worth a visit.
Also, we are still busy working behind the scenes here; but keep your eyes open for a little website face lift in the near future!

I recently spotted our invitations mentioned on the website of a British magazine by the name of Black Meringue. (thank you!) This off-beat publication is dedicated to quirky, unique weddings and is full of unconventional ideas.
As if being included in one of their features wasn’t enough, they gave me a good laugh as well. Ever thought about mailing toast? Well, that is a thought that certainly never crossed my mind. But apparently it can, and has been done in the UK. No boxes or fancy packages – just a plain old piece of toast. I can’t even imagine trying that here in the States. I’m sure even if it was sealed in a plastic baggy, a piece of toast would arrive as nothing more than a pile of crumbs – that is if the postman even agreed to take it out of the mailbox!
Don’t believe me? Be sure to check out the Toast in the Post website. Real or not, it should at least provide you with a good smile. And if anyone has tried this, or plans to, be sure to fill us in!

A big thank you to Kristen over at Paper Crave for featuring us on her blog last week. I was happily surprised to spot us on a blog I regularly check! For tons of papery goodness, make sure to visit Paper Crave on a regular basis.
I would also like to mention that you can find us in the Spring 2008 issue of InStyle Weddings. You’ll find us on page 305 within the celebrity weddings feature. Included is another great way to incorporate wood into your wedding – a sweet note engraved in wood for all of your guests to take home and keep! I think the only thing that could top that on my list would be chocolate. But who says you can’t have both?

Quite a while back, we were contacted by Christa Vagnozzi from The Knot, as well as Danielle Venokur of dvGreen, and asked if we could provide a few samples to possibly be used in an upcoming feature. What we really loved about the idea was they were interested in more than just invitations. We also created a menu and table number for them to work with. Well, some time passed by and as January came and went, we began wondering about that potential feature. On a whim I decided to check out the magazine stand while in a local Target and there it was – the latest publication of The Knot. I have to admit, I was a little hesitant to look inside, and just a bit disappointed when I began flipping through the pages only to find hundreds of wedding gowns. (I always start from the back!) Then I made myself slow down a bit and start from the beginning. That’s when I finally ran across what we had been waiting for. Several items from our Bloom collection are included in a feature titled 4 hot color combos. The white and wood combo is where you will find us – a two page spread highlighting eco-friendly ideas and scrumptious warm tones. So, so lovely you guys! A very big thank you to all those involved!

As seen on p. 36 & 37 in The Knot Spring/Summer ‘08: menu in Bloom and maple, invitation in Bloom and walnut, nestled in the flowers on the table you will see the table number in walnut as well (all images courtesy of The Knot)
I have to admit that after hopping in the car with a copy of the magazine I immediately placed it safely in the back seat. But my curiosity took over, and it wasn’t more than a minute or so before I was flipping through every page of that magazine and examining every single dress. I like to torture myself, you see. Even though my own wedding has come and gone… I have that fear that I will stumble upon the most perfect dress ever created and that I will be devastated because I couldn’t have it for my big day. Thankfully, that didn’t happen on this occasion.

Our apologies to anyone who may have tried to check out our website earlier this evening and noticed a few problems. A bit of construction work was underway. Things seem to be settled now and working smoothly again. In case you didn’t notice, the format of the blog matches that of the rest of the Oslo Press website. (Thanks again Tyler!) So now, when we stop by our blog, we feel a little bit more at home.
We have also noticed that a few more thank-yous are due. Several more features have been spotted at the following sites:
poppytalk – a very cool Canadian design blog which you should definitely make a habit of checking out
the jotter blog – which covers all sorts of stationery goodness
ma planète – a lovely blog which stole my heart simply due to the language (and for those that speak English)
eendar – yet another lovely blog and this time in Spanish!
Again, we really appreciate the support!
Keep checking back with us! By the end of the week there should be some updated photos of our paper selection. I will also be posting a bit of information about the price of postage.
‘Til then,
Jen
