UNIQUE WEDDING INVITATIONS IN PAPER AND WOOD

Archive for August, 2007

What we (almost) do with free time.

While free time is seldom seen in the land of the white cat, it does occasionally find its way into our schedules. Last week I found myself with several hours and decided that a laptop engraving was in order. Now I know, laptop engraving is nothing new, A quick YouTube or digg search will net you plenty of previous examples. What I was setting out to do, was to somehow integrate cold hard technology (computers, computer controlled lasers) with what we do here at Oslo Press. So I thought, “why not do some good old fashioned wood inlay in a laptop?”

When the people are away…

While our trip to the mountains was very brief, it was relaxing all the same. In case you were wondering about what goes on around here when Glenwood and I are in need of a break, here is a glimpse of who really runs the show:

Also of interest – we have recently added a FAQ section to our website. We will continually update it as new questions come our way. Let us know if you think a subject should be added!

A Weekend Break

Whew! Jen and I are finally taking a breather after the tumultuous launch of OsloPress. We drove up to her parent’s place today and are enjoying some fresh mountain air. I don’t know what I like more, twisty mountain roads, temperatures below 90 degrees, or spectacular views of the night sky. Seriously, I don’t know.

We had a hectic couple of weeks configuring our new workspace, I could talk for quite awhile about air compressor power requirements and vacuum blower sound deadening, but I doubt any of our readers would find that terribly interesting.

What you may find interesting is that Jen has new paper samples that will soon be updated on the main site. We hope to have a better summary of your paper options in the very near future.

That’s it for now, I think I’m going to go sit on the back porch and not be eaten alive by mosquitoes, which is an almost entirely new concept for me.

Postage!

After a few recent inquiries, we have decided to post a bit of information on the price of postage. While you may think our invitations would be pricey to mail off, you might be surprised to learn otherwise:

A full invitation set including 1 wood invite, paper reply, outer envelope, and reply envelope costs 58 cents to mail.

A 3×5 save-the-date card in wood, plus envelope, costs 41 cents – the same amount required to mail a 3×5 paper save-the-date plus envelope.

Let us know if you have any other similar concerns. We’re here to help put your mind at ease!
