Our apologies to anyone who may have tried to check out our website earlier this evening and noticed a few problems. A bit of construction work was underway. Things seem to be settled now and working smoothly again. In case you didn’t notice, the format of the blog matches that of the rest of the Oslo Press website. (Thanks again Tyler!) So now, when we stop by our blog, we feel a little bit more at home.
We have also noticed that a few more thank-yous are due. Several more features have been spotted at the following sites:
poppytalk – a very cool Canadian design blog which you should definitely make a habit of checking out
the jotter blog – which covers all sorts of stationery goodness
ma planète – a lovely blog which stole my heart simply due to the language (and for those that speak English)
eendar – yet another lovely blog and this time in Spanish!
Again, we really appreciate the support!
Keep checking back with us! By the end of the week there should be some updated photos of our paper selection. I will also be posting a bit of information about the price of postage.
‘Til then,
Jen

Another thank you is due…
This time we wish to thank Valentina (love that name!) for featuring us on Indie-guest. Indie-guest is a blog which covers, well, in her words, “beautiful things.” Head on over there and check it out… even Oslo himself made a debut!

A very big thank you to Joy Deangdeelert Cho of Oh Joy! Studio. She is an excellent designer who chose to feature Oslo Press on her Oh Joy! blog. If you have never checked it out before, head on over there. It is full of excellent finds.
We would also like to thank the ladies at SocialDesign. After spotting the feature on Oh Joy!, they decided to feature us as well.
Support such as this is greatly appreciated!

Our first improvement to the website has officially been made. As of today, you can purchase a sample packet with just a few clicks of a button. You will now find a new link added to the detail page of each sample. This link will send you straight to the sample category on the process page. Just look for the little blue “Buy Now” logo and you are on your way to purchasing a sample.
As time goes by, we will continue to make adjustments to the Oslo Press website in order to make it bigger and better. Rest assured that we will keep you posted on all of the changes. In the meantime, feel free to drop us a line and share your suggestions with us.

It has been quite busy around here with all the finishing touches the website was in need of. For now, most of the kinks seem to be worked out (a big thanks to Glenwood & Tyler!). If any of you run into any problems however, please don’t hesitate to inform us. We need to know if something is not functioning smoothly or looks a little off so that it can be fixed – and make all of our lives a bit easier.
With the website up, I was just beginning to think I would be able to sit down and rest for a moment. How silly was I for ever presuming such a thing? Getting the website up is just the beginning – the doors to the shop wide open. Now it’s time to get it noticed. I was thinking flashing neon lights along with some of those pieces of paper stuck under windshield wipers in parking lots… Ok, no, seriously though… Instead of taking a break from it all, we are diving straight into the next step – marketing.
During the spare time I do have, I will be working on some new designs and will occasionally be posting photos of things that inspire me. Feel free to check in with us as we will try to keep things interesting around here.
One other thing, Glenwood is currently in Vegas for the AWFS Fresh Wood competition. Let’s wish him the best of luck!
Until next time,
Jen

Even though Jen and I have been working hard to complete the main website, the blog was up and running first. We are putting the finishing touches on the site and preparing a press-release style e-mail to send to blogs and such.
So right, why does a wedding invitation company have a blog?
Mainly to communicate with you. Whether you are a potential, current, or past customer, we want to hear your feedback on anything and everything that we do. We strive very hard to create breathtaking products that will knock the socks off of your guests, but if you have suggestions to make them better then we want to hear about it!
We also want to share with you what it is like to be a small startup company, from the tribulations of production and marketing to the joys of launching new products and of course, sales!
Please do not hesitate to comment or drop us an e-mail, we want to get to know you and we hope this blog helps you get to know us.
